info
I enjoy photographing and sharing the presence of nature. It is said that an image tells something about who was behind the camera as well as what was in front of it. This is certainly true in my case. Whenever I feel connected with a subject, the final image is always more compelling and revealing than when I am just thinking about things technical.
I would not be involved with photography if it were not for my wife who on Christmas Day 1991 handed me the gift of a camera and said, "You need to relax!" In 2001, I remembered her words and bought a SLR-based system. Family, long-time friends, and many new friends continue to play an important role in my growth as both a person and photographic artist. I owe a special debt of thanks to John Green for teaching me how to make a picture, Stuart Wetherbe for training me in the art and science of producing a good print,
Jean-Pierre Pasche for his generous advice as well as for matting and framing many of my images, and Robert Floyd for teaching me how to market my work as well as for hosting my first exhibit and three subsequent ones.
Thank you for visiting my site.
